12-15-1937 (City Council) Minutes December 15th 1937. The City Concil of the City of Wylie Tex met in regular session with all members present in the city hall. The meeting was call to order by the Mayor, the Minutes of last meeting was read and approved.. Motion & Second the city cease to pay Ed Davis $1500 for night watch salary on and after January 14. Motion carried. Motion & Second the Mayor make contract with the water tank service co. L. V. Orr Manager to paint the water tank&tower. Motion Carried. Motion & Second city pay W. F. Duncan $1000 less $5.7' for money Rex Goodson cut of street north Mrs Watson.. Motion Carried. Motion & Second to allow Glen Daniel Deputy city Marshall to assist J A Hammett city Marshall $1.50 per day Dec 15-to Jan 1st 1938. Motion Carried.. Motion & Second that all city electives Salarys be the same through 1938 as was in 1937. Motion Carried. Motion & Second City pay John Story $200 per week for his maintenance when the weather is bad and he cant get work. Motion Carried. Motion & Second City split cost of$15.40 on J. T. Hutchins Tax suit with J. A. Hammett. Motion Carried.. Motion & Second to erase motion that was made previously in regard to holding up of$705 check in form of J A Hammett in regard to J T Hutchins tax suit. Motion Carried. Motion & Second all Bills be allowed paid as read. Motion Carried. Motion & Second City allow C. J. Morris $1.'0 per month for ten months for use of city dump grounds. Motion Carried. December 15th 1937 Motion & Second Glen Daniel, Treasurer and water- collector keep his books at Housewright feed store and when Glen is not in Jick Housewright will take money for the water bills.
