01-18-1938 (City Council) Minutes January 18 = 1938
The City Concil of the Town of Wylie Texas met in regular session in the city hall with
all members present.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor the minutes of last meeting was
read and approved.
Motion & Second the city reduce the street light rate of the Santa Fa Ry co and
the Cotton Belt Ry co to $1.00 per light per month. The Santa Fa will be $40°per month
and the Cotton Belt will be $300 per month. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second the city pay A. Brown $1000 per year for extra services
rendered as street commissioner. motion carried.
Motion & Second the city pay the yearly dues of$1500 to the League of Texas
Municipalities. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second that a new charge be made at the city hall for the use of the
Gas. Instead of charging .30c per day the new charge will be .30c per day for each family
using the hall the same day. Motion Carried..
Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read. Motion& Carried..
