The city council of the city of wylie Tex met in special call session in the city hall with
all members present
The purpose of the meeting was to install or swear in the two newly elected concilmen..
on Apr 28 election..
The Ballad was read as follow
G H. Richards Ray Pitts 84 Votes A Brown J. A. Pitts 84 Jick Housewright 1 A Brown 1
John Rawlins 1 Vote. A. Burton and Gray Pitts was declared elected by Mayor
Housewright. Also the following appointments was made by the Mayor for the comng
year
for street committee J A. Pitts and G. H. Richards
Finance J A. Benton and Ray Pitts
Treasurer Glen Daniel
Water and Sewer committee C. R. Smith— G. H. Richards
Mayor Protem J.A. Pitts
Motion & Second to resend or cancel the mayor appointments of last Apr 15 and approve
the appointments of May 5th
Motion Carried.
Motion & Second to take a secret Ballet on electing city water pumper Motion Carried
Henry Long received 5 Votes for city pumper and was declared elected by the mayor
Motion & Second the new pumper take charge on May 15th Motion Carried
Mayor Housewright appointed Ray Pitts & G H Richards on swing pool committee to see
about leasing the pool and report next meeting nite
Motion & Second to repeal Ordinances #1- 2- of August 16- 1937 in regard to shows and
amusements. Motion Carried

Motion Carried.
Motion & Second 5 bills be paid as read Motion Carried.
Motion & Second city pay Ed Davis $1000 per month on night watch salary to begin on
the 15 of this month
