09-15-1938 (City Council) Minutes Sept 15th 1938 The city concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session in the city hall with all members present. The minutes of last regular meeting and a call meeting on 8-29- and 9-2"a was read and approved. There was a Motion by G. H. Richards and Second by C. R. Smith that Mayor Housewright Sign contract with Frank Chappal and send him the original copy as he is going to act as Engineer for the city in its light and Power plant project, Motion Carried. Motion by J. A. Pitts Second by J. A. Benton that Mayor Housewright sign contract with who will act as Bond atty for the city of Wylie in the light and Power plant project, Motion Carried. There was a motion& Second to rescind or kill that part of a Motion& Second on 8=17 where as M. T. Staples was appointed to furnish the city of Wylie all the necessary information in regard to proceeding with the Minicipal light and power plant project and appoint J. W. Housewright in his place Motion & Second. Motion & Second city will not give Sam Skipp permit to open a domino parlor in Wylie. Motion Carried. Motion & Second city clerk have 200 Ballots made for the light and power plant Bond election to be held Sept 26-38 Motion Carried. Motion & Second city raise Henry Long Salary $10��per month Effective beginning 9-15-38 Motion Carried. Sept 15th 1938 Motion & Second city lease the Sewage grounds west of town to J. A. Pitts for a period of five (5) years for $1.00 one and no/100. Motion Carried.. Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read. Motion Carried.. Motion & Second to adjourn Motion Carried..
