10-14-1938 (City Council) Minutes Oct 14= 1938 The city concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session in the city hall with all members present. Minutes of last meeting was read and approved. There was a Motion & Second before the house, the city quit paying Ed Davis $1000 per month on night watch salary effective some date Motion Carried All members voting alike. Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read Motion Carried. Mayor Housewright appointed J. A. Hammett Fire Marshall effective November lst= 38 J. A. Pitts and J. A. Burton was appointed as a committee of two to direct the cleaning up of the city streets and alleys. Motion & Second the Mayors appointments be approved. Motion Carried. H. A.
