04-14-1939 (City Council) Minutes April 14 = 1939
The city concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session with all members present
except Ray Pitts.
The meeting was calld to order and the April 4th election results was read as
follows
R. R. Addington 118. Votes J. A. Benton 96 —Walter Click .82
C. R. Smith .81 A. Brown 61- There was three to be elected, so the Mayor declared R R.
Addington J. A. Benton Walter Click to be elected and they were sworn into office and
signed the oath..
Then the minutes of last meeting nite was read and approved.
The following is the Mayor's appointment for the coming year.
J. A. Benton, G. H. Richards water and Sewer committee
R. R. Addington D. W. Click Finance
H. A. Long water comm.
G. H. Richards, J. A. Pitts Street committee
D. W. Click J. A. Pitts G. H. Richards Swing pool comm.
J. A. Pitts, G. H. Richards was appointed as a comm to get Bids on cleaning up the
Town.
Glen Daniel was appointed city Treasurer
There was a Motion & Second the Mayor appointment be approved. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second all Bills be allowed paid as read. Motion Carried.
There was a Motion & Second to adjorn
