11-15-1939 (City Council) Minutes November 15= 1939 The city concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session in the city hall with all member's present Except E. Housewright Mayor and Capt J. A. Benton alderman The minutes of last meeting was read and approved by a Motion& Second Motion Carried. Motion & Second City have, Pete Ellenberg make and install a new pan or Box in the Big Work Trough in rear of city hall, that is used in-connection with the coming equipment. Motion Carried. Motion & Second city sell to Jess Calloway one lot the city ownes, Location is in what is known as the new addition joining the property of Newberry on the West side for $2000 if he Jess Calloway wants it and is satisfied with the dead the city concil give him Motion Carried. Motion & Second the Sectary write the League of Texas Municipalities and ask there assistance in getting our minimum rates on our gas rate reduced Motion Carried Motion & Second that Resolutions offered us by the League of Texas Municipalities in regard to getting our gas rates reduced be adapted Motion Carried.
