01-15-1940 (City Council) Minutes Jan 15 1940
The city concil of the city of Wylie"Texas" met in regular session in the Picture
Show building "Instead of the city hall account of the cold weather" with all members
present except Walker Click.
The minutes of last regular meeting was approved by a Motion& Second. The
Motion Carried.
The concil had with them at the meeting Chester L. May and a Mr Sho. Both with
the Comminty Natural Gas co. The concil discussed the possibilities of a reduction in the
Gas rates however there was no definite decision made
There was a Motion & Second, the Mayor appoint a committee to see about buying a
"Booster" water pump, for the fire truck, and Capt. Benton and C. R. Burch was
appointed on this committee. Motion Carried.
There was a Motion & Second the Mayor have the authority to Investigate the
prices and possibly buy four sewing machines for the sewing room, Motion Carried.
Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read Motion Carried.
Motion & Second, to adjourn Motion Carried.
