02-15-1940 (City Council) Minutes February 15- 1940 The city concil of the city of Wylie"Tex" met in regular session in the city hall with all members present except Walker Click. Minutes of last meeting was read and approved. There was a motion& second the city send H. A. Long "city water pumper" to Colledge-Station to the water-Sewer school from 2/19-to 2/2-3 inc. with $2000 allowed for expenses, meals room and transportation Motion Carried Motion & Second city clean up the streets and alleys by hauling off all trash and rubbish and place hand bills all over town to notify ever one to clean up their premises and place all trash and rubbish where the wagon can get it Motion Carried There was a Motion & Second city make contract with Matlin Martin for a place to dump city scavenger wagon for (Two dollars $"2 ") for month Motion Carried. The Mayor appointed a committee to see a Lawyer and secure advise in regard to disconnecting Mrs Lottie Stone from the water line that runs south of Wylie. The committee was E. Housewright, J. A. Benton, J A Pitts Mayor, Housewright ordered an election to be held the first Tuesday in April, the same being the second day of April 1940 for the purpose of electing a Mayor- City Marshall City Clerk and two Alderman J. H.
