05-15-1940 (City Council) Minutes May 15th 1940
The city concil of the city of Wylie Texas met in regular session in the city Hall with all
members present.
The minutes of last meeting was read and approved
Mr L. V. Orr, of the water tank service co of"Dallas" met with the concil and
discussed the painting of the tower and the tank inside and outside. The water was refered
to the water committee J. A. Benton and R. R. Addington for consideration.
These was a motion& Second city buy one $50000 Wylie bond #16 with accured
inst. since April 1.st 1940. Total cost $251.22 .50 cents on the $1 00
Motion Carried
There was a motion& Second city pay J. H. Calloway $1500 (Fifteen dollars) per
month for city Marshall services, Effective 5-15-1940 Motion Carried.
After quiet a lengthy discussion in regard to the Wylie W.P.A. sewing room, there
was a Motion & Second city continue to sponsor the sewing room for another thirty (30)
days from 5-15 to 6-15-1940 Motion Carried.
Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read and when the Booster pump is
completely installed on the fire truck, then the Bills on it can be paid
