06-16-1941 (City Council) Minutes June 16- 1941
The city concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session in the city hall, with all
members present except J. A. Pitts.
The minutes of last regular meeting was read and approved by a Motion&
Second the Motion Carried
Mrs H. S. Ware, of McKinney was with the concil, in regard to a two per cent
(2.%) Grass Tax levy on all T-P-L holdings in the city limits of Wylie Tex, in favor of the
city of Wylie Tex.
Rev Carrigan Pastor Methodist Church, was with the concil, also Melvin
Williams, in the interest of a W.P.A. public play ground to be located on the School
ground.
There was a Motion & Second the city concil donate $4000 to this public play
ground, which will be financed through the School and Churches of Wylie, Motion
Carried.
There was a Motion & Second city concil Sign contract with Tex Power-Light co
on collecting two per cent(2%) Grass property tax, with the under standing that the sixty
day notice clause be struck out also on agreement there will be no raise on the light rates
in Wylie Tex Motion Carried
There was a Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read Motion Carried.
There was a Motion & Second to adjourn Motion Carried.
