01-15-1942 (City Council) Minutes Jany 15th 1942
At a regular meeting of the council of Wylie Texas on the 15th of Jany. 1942 all of
the members were present accept Dennis Hillis. Mayor E. Housewright
presiding, The minutes of the last regular meeting and the minutes of a called meeting
held on Jan. 30-1941, were read and approved.
There being no unfinished business before the boards, new business was in order.
Secretery Jess Calloway tendered his resignation to the mayor& city council for
the reason that he was moving to his farm outside the corporate limits of the City
A motion by G. A. Pitts, seconded by R. R. Addington to accept Mr. Calloways
resignation carried.
By unanimous approval of all members present, Mayor Housewright appointed C.
M Gallagher sectary of the town of Wylie to fill out the unexpired term of Mr. Calloway.
A motion by G. A. Pitts, seconded by R. J. Hall carried instructing the finance
court. to get prices or bids from different firms for auditing the city of Wylie's books &
accts. from the date of the last audit up to &including December 31-41 and report to the
next regular meeting.
The following list of accounts that had lease filed with the City Secty. since last
meeting were read as follows.

There being no other business to come up for the councils attention, a motion to
