06-15-1942 (City Council) Minutes June 15, 1942
The City council of the City of Wylie met in the City of Wylie Hall on June 15,
1942 with all members present
The minutes of a regular and of a called meeting of May 28th were read by the
clerk and by a motion made by E. Housewright, seconded by D. Hillis were approved as
read.
Papers on the City truck were discussed It was decided that truck tires be applied
for.
Street culvert in need of repair was turned over to the street Com. with authority
to buy galvanized culvert if possible. Sidewalks & crossings were discussed it was
decided to leave them until it was found where work was most needed. This too was
turned over to the street committee
Tuesday of the following week was designated as clean-up day.
It was agreed that sewing machines now in City hall were not to be removed.
J.H. Callaway reported on conditions of the alleys, of which he is surveying. As
he has not yet been able to look at all of them, he will make a fuller report at the a later
date.
The treasurer reported as follows.
Int. & Sink fund 548.04
General fund 4061.43
The report accepted on motion made by E. Housewright and second by D Hillis.
Mayor Pitts appointed City Tax Equilipation board consisting of Edw. Davis, R.L.
Davis, Frank E. Neilon.
The following accounts againsts the town of Wylie were read and by the motion
of E. Housewright and second of D Hillis were ordered paid.

There being no other business brought to the attention of the council, at this
meeting. Motion made by E Housewright seconded by Claude Housewright that the
meeting be adjourned, carried. The meeting was declared adjourned.
