CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MINUTES
OCTOBER 19, 1984
5:00 P. M.
The Wylie City Council met in a called session on Friday, October 19, 1984
at 5:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers at City Hall . Mayor John Akin presided.
A quorum was present and notice of the meeting had been posted for the time and in
the manner required by law. Those in attendance were Mayor John Akin, Mayor
Pro Tem Don Hughes, Councilmembers William Martin, Cleo Adams, Percy Simmons and
Joe Fulgham, City Manager Gus Pappas and City Secretary Carolyn Jones.
Mayor Akin called the meeting to order and called for a motion to convene
into executive session. Motion was made by Councilmember Martin to convene
into executive session under the authority of Article 6252-17 of Vernon' s
Annotated Civil Statutes Section 2 paragraph "f" real estate. Seconded by
Councilmember Adams. All in favor.
Mayor Akin reconvened meeting into open session. Mayor Akin stated there
was no decision to be made from the discussion of real estate during the
executive session. The discussion was toward a new site for the new
City Hall Complex.
Motion was made to adjourn by Councilmember Simmons, seconded by Councilmember
Fulgham. All in favor.
