01-26-1937 (City Council) Minutes Jan 26= 1937 Call Meeting The City Council of the City of Wylie Tex met for call session in the city hall with all members present. After some lengthy discussions there was a Motion &Second that the city pay a Balance of$203.42 due on a sewer warout held by C.R. Hilllis secured from the F & M Slate Bank where the Bank was token of By the Garland "Tex" Bank and C.R. Hillis is to pay the city his taxes in this agreement. Motion carried. Motion &Second the city pay$2.00 per month rent on each machine in the sewing Room of ten machines, until the council decides on how long to finance said sewing room. Motion carried. Motions &Second to allow W.N. Williams pay for 10 hrs work on city grade @ 25 cents per hour$2.50 Motion carried. Motion &Second to allow A. Brown $20.00 additional Budget for dragging or grading the street since the bad weather. Motion carried. Motion &Second the Mayors' appointment of Jess Calloway as Treasurer&water collector on Dec 15- 1936, be with drawn and killed. Motion carried. The Mayor is impounding on the clerk The duties of Treasurer and water collector also Fire chief duties, this takes the place of the appointment of Dec 15-1936 that was with drawn and killed.
