MEETING - MINUTES
MARCH 14, 1985
6 :00 P. M.
The Wylie City Council met in a called session on Thursday ,
March 14 , 1985 at 6 : 00 P . M . in the Council Chambers at City
Hall . Mayor Akin presided . A quorum was present and notice
of the meeting had been posted for the time and in the
manner required by law. Those present were Mayor John W.
Akin , Mayor Pro Tem Don Hughes , Councilmen Percy Simmons ,
William Martin , Randall Gaston , and Joe Fulgham and City
Manager Gus Pappas , City Secretary Carolyn Jones .
Councilman Adams was absent due to illness .
Mayor Akin called the meeting to order .
The purpose of this meeting is for authorization to City
Manager to purchase another computer printer , at an
approximate cost of $2 , 000 .00 . We have been operating with
one high speed printer and since reports are coming from
Utility Billing and Finance there is a need for the second
printer . One department is having to wait for the other
"` department to complete a print job before they can print .
Councilman Martin wanted to know how many printers the City
has at this time . City Manager Gus Pappas said there is one
high speed printer and two small printers which are used for
letters and ordinances .
Motion was made by Councilman Martin to grant authorization
to City Manager to purchase a second high speed printer .
Seconded by Councilman Fulgham. The vote was as follows :
Mayor Akin - in favor , Mayor Pro Tem Hughes - in favor ,
Councilman Simmons - in favor , Councilman Gaston - in favor ,
Councilman Fulgham - in favor , Councilman Adams - absent
and Councilman Martin - in favor . This motion carried with
all in favor .
Motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Hughes to adjourn , seconded
by Councilman Gaston . All in favor .
