CALLED CITY COUNCIL
MEETING - MINUTES
APRIL 7, 1987
7:00 P. M.
The Wylie City Council met in a called session on Tuesday,
April 7 , 1987 in the Reta and Truett Smith Library. A
quorum was present and notice of the meeting had been posted
in the time and manner required by law. Those present were
Mayor Chuck Trimble, Mayor Pro Tem Joe Fulgham, Council
Members Calvin Westerhof, Kent Crane, Sandra Donovan,
Councilmen Elect John Akin, Marvin Blakey and Christopher
DiTota , City Manager Gus pappas, City Secretary Carolyn
Jones, and many citizens. Councilman Martin was absent.
Mayor Trimble called the meeting to order and Councilman
Westerhof gave the invocation.
ACCEPTANCE OF RESULTS OF APRIL 4, 1987 CITY COUNCIL
ELECTION: Mayor Trimble read the following results from the
election on April 4th:

Mayor Trimble read the following to be the new council
members :
Place 1 - John Akin
Place 3 - Christopher DiTota
Place 5 - Marvin Blakey

Motion was made by Councilman Westerhof to accept the above
as the results of the election and the new council members.
Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Fulgham. The vote was as follows :
Mayor Trimble - in favor , Mayor Pro Tem Fulgham - in favor ,
Councilman Westerhof - in favor, Councilman Crane - in
favor, Councilwoman Donovan - in favor. This motion carried
with all in favor.
OATH OF OFFICE: City Secretary Carolyn Jones gave the oath
of office to the newly elected Council Members, John Akin,
Christopher DiTota, and Marvin Blakey.
ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEM FOR 1987-88 COUNCIL YEAR: Mayor
Trimble requested this item be tabled until a later date.
Motion was made by Councilman Akin to table this item.
Seconded by Councilman Blakey. The vote was as follows :
Mayor Trimble - in favor, Councilman Akin - in favor ,
Councilman Westerhof - in favor, Councilman DiTota - in
favor, Councilman Crane - in favor, and Councilwoman Donovan
- in favor. This motion carried with all in favor to table.
Motion was made to adjourn with all in favo.
