MINUTES OF THE WYLIE CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 21, 1992
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro-Tem Jim Swartz called the meeting to order with the following
Councilmembers present: Steve Wright, Ortie Messenger, Bud Naish, and Reta Allen.
Mayor John Akin and Jay Davis were absent.
AWARD OF BID FOR CURB AND GUTTER CONTRACT RELATED TO CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Council considered award of bid for curb and gutter based on the following
tabulation:

Boden 8.00/LF $700/ea. 3.00/SF $350.00 10 days
Construction
JRJ 10.25/LF $500/ea. 2.80/SF $650.00 10 days
Paving
Holley 10.50/LF $590/ea. 2.69/SF no bid 3 days
& Son
Ballard 10.93/LF $827/ea. 5.28/SF $900.00 10 days
Contracting
Upon recommendation of City Manager Steve Norwood and after brief discussion, Naish
made a motion to award the bid to Boden Construction for an annual contract as bid.
Messenger seconded the motion. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously.
Norwood noted that construction on Birmingham would begin in approximately ten days.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no further business for discussion, the meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
