CALL TO ORDER

Mayor John Akin called the meeting to order with the following
Councilmembers present: Reta Allen, John Mondy, Bud Naish, Ortie Messenger, Jim
Swartz, and Steve Wright. No Councilmembers were absent.
10 UPDATE ON CURRENT BUDGET
City Manager Steve Norwood outlined financial statements and discussed the
projected fund balance of $287,000. He stated that settlement agreements had
affected the general fund and a rough estimate of revenues in the utility fund wouldn't
15 be available until the end of the heavy watering months.
DISCUSSION REGARDING 1993-1994 BUDGET AND NEW PROGRAMS
Council reviewed proposed new programs and the general fund and discussed
20 the tax rate for the 1993-1994 budget year.
ARCHITECT CONTRACT
City Manager Steve Norwood discussed the scope of the proposed contract for
25 architectural services related to the new City service center.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Council adjourned into Executive Session at 9:30 p.m. under Article 6252-17
30 V.A.C.S. to discuss land acquisition regarding the city service center and personnel
related to the Chief of Police. Upon reconvening into regular session at 10:45 p.m.,
no official action was taken.
