WORKSESSION
August 15, 1995
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Jim Swartz called the meeting to order with the following Councilmembers
present: Reta Allen, John Mondy, Joel Scott, Steve Wright, J.C. Worley, and Cleo Adams.
No Councilmembers were absent. Joining Council was each member of the Planning and
Zoning Commission.
WORKSESSION REGARDING PLANNED DEVELOPMENT ZONING IN WYLIE
City Secretary Mary Nichols and Building Official Mike Phillips gave a brief
presentation regarding the requirements for Planned Development Zoning. Phillips
presented slides representing Planned Developments in neighboring cities and staff
answered question of the Commission and Council.
WORKSESSION REGARDING POTENTIAL FUTURE ANNEXATIONS
Greg MacLean, consulting engineer with Hogan Corporation, addressed Council
regarding properties in the vicinity of FM-544 and FM-1378 under staff discussion for future
annexation. He discussed the potential cost of providing water and sewer service to these
areas and answered questions of the Commission and Council. Council instructed staff
and MacLean to develop the following:
(1) a timeline for annexation of the properties
(2) a priority list that would depict services that would be provided and their order
of development
(3) property tax revenue estimate based on current land use
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Council adjourned into Executive Session at 9:10 p.m. under 551.074 Government
Code to discuss vacant director positions. Upon reconvening into regular session at 9:20
p.m., no action was taken by Council.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no further business to c e before Counct for consideration, the
meeting adjourned.
