Canvass of General & Special Election
Tuesday, May 5, 1998

Mayor Jim Swartz called the meeting to order with the following Councilmembers
present. Joel Scott, Reta Allen, and J.C. Worley.
Mayor Swartz then read into the record the returns for the General and Special
Election as attached hereto in the Summary of Precinct Returns.
Councilman Scott made a motion to accept the Canvass for the General Election
conducted on May 2, 1998 for the purpose of electing a Mayor and three
councilmembers places 2, 4, and 6 for two year terms and Special Election for the
purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Wylie certain proposed
amendments to the existing city charter. Councilwoman Reta Allen seconded the
motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Swartz then presented Certificates of Election to Reta Allen and Chris Trout.
With the Canvass complete, the meeting was then adjourned.
