11-04-1908 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Texas Nov 4th 1908
The Town Council of the Town of Wylie met in regular session on Nov. 4th, Mayor Baskette
presiding. Meeting being held at C.G. Gallagher drug store.
On roll call officers responded as follows;
J.B. Baskette,A. Brown,J. W. Arris,J.A. Hammette, L.L. Gant,J. A. Wilson and C.J. Gallagher.
Minutes of previous meeting adopted as read.
On motion & second 10 days notices were ordered served on Wesely Smith and G. W. Owens&
Co to build walk toward school bldg.
By vote of Council it was greed for the City to build walk along Dimsay's property on N. College
St. On motion &second the street committee was instructed to see to the liming of walk on N. College
St.
Report of A. Brown was read and approved.
Report of Treas J.W. Arris, being returned and having been audited by Finance Committee,was
rec'd by the Council.
On motion & second the following 30 days notices were ordered serviced;
Ed Neilan walk on east side of Jackson St.
Mr. Fresa (?)walk on east side of N. College St.
Dickenson walk on south side of College St.
The following accts were allowed;
A. Brown 25.00 salary 10.00 ex officio tax col & handling 55.30
A.G. McAdams Lumber Co. material etc 39.55
W.E. Willingam labor 3.00
Kefmer&Sidwell hauling 1.05
Housewright Hammette nails shovels etc 29.25
Total allowed 128.15
No further business appearing adjournment carried.
