BIRMINGHAM WEEK IN WYLIE, TEXAS
WHEREAS, The Birmingham Family recognized the value of higher education in
the American Society; and
WHEREAS, T. F. and Hattie A. Birmingham did, in memory of their son, Franklin
Ovid Birmingham, convey certain properties to be held for the benefit
of the Wylie Independent School District, exculsively, in training of
boys and girls who may now or hereafter seek their education at the
schools maintained and operated by the Wylie Independent School District;
WHEREAS, Pearl Birmingham left to the Wylie Independent School District 1 ,000
shares of common stock of the Standard Oil Company of Ohio to be used
to establish a scholarship fund for higher education.
NOW, THEREFORE, I JOHN W. AKIN, BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS MAYOR OF THE CITY
