MINUTES
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS
MONDAY, JULY 15, l985
The Zoning Board of Adjustments met in regular session on
Monday, July 15, 1985 in the Council Chambers at City Hall '
A quorum was present and notice of the meeting had been
posted for the time and in the manner required by law'
Members present were Chairman Richard Hampton , Brian Chaney,
Garry Ludwig, and Art Harris. AbsenL was Anna Starnes and
Paul Gaddy' Representing the city staff were Roy Faires` C.
E. O. and Maureen Dunlop , Permit Clerk . Jim Lemming and
Jerry Hoagland were also present .
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hampton ,
the first order of business was to approve the minutes from
the last meeting. Chairman Hampton asked if everyone had
read the minutes. All had read the minutes, they were
approved as read.
Second order of business was to consider approval of request
for variance of side yard set back on Lot 19, Block J ^
Rustic Oaks 2. Chairman Hampton asked Mr' Jim Lemming to
explain why a variance was needed ' After some questions,
Chairman Hampton asked for a vote, with the stipulation that
the adjacent Lot 18, which is also owned by Murry Homes, set
back be increased to 12' . Motion passed 4-0'
Third order of business was to cons/ der approval of request
for variance of front yard set back on Lot 7, Block J ,
Rustic Oaks. Four letters were sent out , none were
returned. After some discussion, Chairman Hampton asked for
a vote, Art Harris moved to grant the variance, Brian Chanev
seconded the motion , motion passed 4-6.
Chairman Hampton moved to adjourn, seconded by Garry Ludwig .

I need more storage space and adding on to the Present accessory
building would he the nicest looking and most economical place to
get more space but to do that I need a variance on the East from
the required 6 ft. to 3 1/2 ft to follow the present line of building
and on the North from the required 1O:?ft . to 4 ft . lO.in .

Lot 43 & 44, Brown & Burns
I wanted to enlarge my accessory building from 273 sq. ft. to
504 sq. ft. , so without realizing it I am too close to the city's
property (alley) on the East and my neighbor's property (Charles
Frye ) on the North, so I am requesting a variance from the required
6 ft. on the East and from the 10 ft. on the North. I now have
3 1/2 ft. from the property line on the East and 5 feet from my
neighbor's property line on the North to my accessory building.
