ing was called for the eurpoee of considering the (latter of ;ranting

entitled, An ordinance granting to Texas Power Light Company, its
successors and assigns an electrie, light, heat and rower franchise".

passed to the second reading.
Said ordinance was read the second time. On motion,
the sane was passed to third reading.
Said ordinance ,vas read the third time.
On motion the said ordinance was finally read
and adopted, tee ldermen voting as follows: Alderman J. M. MaDomald
voted. Aye; Alderman J. Long voted Are; Alderman H. e Lawrence
voted Aye; Alderman A. Brown voted Aye.
It was ordered that said ordinance be recorded,
and the sane is recorded in words end figures as follows, to At:

Section 1: That there is hereby granted to Texas
Power & Light Company, its successors and assigns, (herein called
the Grantee) the right, privilege and franchise until May 26th, A.D.
1966, to construct, naintain and operate in the present and future
streets, alleys and public places of the City of ,ylie, and its suc-
cessors, electric light and power lines with ell the necessary or
desirable aepurtaaneee, (including underground conduits, poles,
towers, wires, tracsmission lines and tel and tel-Thone wires
for its own use) for the pur )ose of supplyin electricity to the said
City, the inhabitants thereof and. )ersons and corporations beyond the
limits thereof, for light, neat, power nd other purposes.

as to interfere es little es possible eith truffle over streets and
LI alleys. The location of ell poles en to ere or conduits shall be
fixed under the aupervieion of tho street and alley commItta.; of the
City Council or the successors to the duties o: that committe3, but
not so as to unreasonably interfere ith the proper operation of the
said lines.
Seetion 3: Tho service furnished hereunder to said
City and its inhabitant ; shall be eiret slass in all reepeets, consider-
ing all oircumstancee, Laid meal be sub:eet to such reasonable rules and
regulations as the erantee'may melee from time to time. The Graetee may
require reasonable security for the paement of its bills. ehere meters
are used they shall be furniaeoe and. eaintainee by the _Trento°, without
rental or other charge.
Section 4: .he granted shall hold the city harmless
