CALL TO ORDER
Announce the presence of a Quorum.
Shelia Patton called to order at 6:37 pm. Board members present included: Carter Porter, Amy
Nutz, David Lewis, Dr. Chuck Kerin, and Shelia Patton.
INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Carter Porter.
BUSINESS ITEMS
A. Consider and act upon approval of the Animal Advisory Board minutes of April 28,
2010.
Board Action
A motion was made by Carter Porter to accept April 28, 2010 Animal Shelter Advisory Board
minutes of December 9, 2010 as presented. Dr. Chuck Kerin seconded to accept minutes. A
vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Discuss progression of new air condition unit instillation.
Shelia Patton reported that the new air condition unit has been installed and appears to be
functioning properly.

B. Discuss progression of long term plans for future growth and facility improvements.
Shelia Patton reported that the off leash play area for in house animals to socialize with
-- potential adopters is still on hold.
Carter Porter suggests contacting local fencing companies regarding materials that may be
donated for use.
Shelia Patton suggests contacting local scout troops to inquire about projects.
C. Discuss volunteer service hour programs.
David Lewis will bring examples of Operation Kindness volunteer programs to describe duties,
training and age requirements.
Shelia Patton will check with area animal control facilities to inquire about volunteer program
guidelines they currently have in place.
D. Discuss tools, equipment and vehicle needs.
Shelia Patton reported that all needs in this area are currently being met.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business before the board, consensus of the board was to adjourn at 7:45 pm.
