Wylie landfill .
2 . CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
In accordance with the Open
Meeting Act , the City Council
will hear comments from
citizens residing within the
City Limits of Wylie . Any
discussion must be limited to
placing an item on a future
agenda . No discussion or
decision will be made by the
Council . Comments should be
limited to not more than five
( 5) minutes .
Comments relavent to a posted
agenda item may be made by
signing the form provided and
leaving it with the City
Secretary. Comments should be
limited to five ( 5) minutes .

SUBJECT : Landfill Closure Contract
The closure of the landfill continues to move torward completion.
However, as of Thursday, April 2, 1992, the contractor has
exhausted all acceptable supplies of top soil to be used for
capping purposes. There remains an area of approximately 700
feet square which will need an additional 6" of top soil in order
to properly close the landfill per the approved Texas Water
Commission' s closure plan.
Therefore, I am seeking approval to develop a change order which
will allow purchase of the required top soil material to properly
cover this area. The estimated total quantity for this section
is 10, 000 cubic yards.
To date the contractor has truck-hauled 30, 000 cubic yards of
soil for closure purposes.
Please place this item on the next Council Agenda.
