MEMORANDUM
TO: CAROLYN JONES, CITY SECRETARY
FROM: BILL DASHNER, CITY MANAG •
SUBJECT: AGENDA ITEM FOR MONDAY, JU Y 30 , 1990 -
PROPOSAL FROM HELMBERGER AND ASSOCIATES FOR SURVEY
WORK
DATE: JULY 25, 1990
Carolyn, since the City Council apparently has not been
informed that the spending limit of the City Manager is
$5,000, I believe it is necessary to go ahead and get their
approval on this item. Accordingly, it should be an agenda
item for this meeting . This item should be titled "Consider
acceptance of Helmberger and Associates' proposal to conduct
necessary and needed final survey work on the city summer
street program" .

and gutter exist, crown elevations will be established using the
existing gutter elevations.

Dear Colonel Brown:
On behalf of the City of Wylie, I am writing you about a
proposed project called the Eastfork Park project to be
located on Lake Lavon . Interested and concerned citizens
have presented to the City Council preliminary design
proposals and preliminary cost figures on the possibility of
developing certain areas on Lake Lavon to be used for park
recreation and open space purposes .
I am requesting that you send a representative from your
office to meet with our city staff so that these preliminary
planning documents can be studied in order to determine if
this project is feasible as a Corps sponsored project .
Please contact Mr. Bill Dashner, City Manager if this
proposal is acceptable to the U.S . Army Corps of Engineers
and to establish a meeting date.
Respectfully submitted,
John W. Akin
Mayor
