CALL TO ORDER
Announce the presence of a Quorum.
Mayor Eric Hogue called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following Wylie City Council
members present: Councilwoman Diane Culver, Mayor pro tern Nathan Scott; Councilman Keith
Stephens, Councilman Rick White. Councilman Bennie Jones (arrived at 6:30 p.m.),
Councilman Todd Wintters was absent.
Staff present included: City Manager, Mindy Manson; Assistant City Manager, Jeff Butters;
Finance Director, Linda Bantz; Library Director, Rachel Orozco; Fire Chief, Randy Corbin; City
Engineer, Chris Hoisted; City Secretary, Carole Ehrlich, and Public Information Officer, Craig
Kelly. Many support staff were present.
INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
SRO Sergeant Matt Miller gave the invocation and Sergeant Tommy Walters led the Pledge of
Allegiance.
Mayor Hogue convened into work session at 6:05 p.m.

WORK SESSION
• FY 2013-2014 Budget Discussion and Department Presentations to Council
The following departments gave proposed budget expenditure overviews and answered
questions regarding line items within their FY 2013/2014 budget.
Police/Animal Control
Fire/Communications
Planning
Library
Engineering
This concluded the department overviews discussion of the proposed FY 2013/14 budget.
Another council work session will be held during the regular city council meeting of July 23,
2013.
RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION
Take any action as a result from Work Session.
Mayor Hogue reconvened into regular session at 9:48 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman White to adjourn the
meeting at 9:50 p.m. A vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
