NOTICE OF EMERGENCY MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Wylie
will meet in Special Session on February 22, 1983 at 6:30 p.m. in
the Tower Suite at First State Bank for the following purpose:
To discuss alleged charges of misappropriation of City funds
and City equipment against the Mayor.
This notice is posted as an emergency due to the necessity of
taking timely action for the welfare of the City. (V.A.C.S. 6252-17,
Section 2e) .

MEMORANDUM FOR USE OF CITY PROPERTY
ARTICLE39 . 0115) PENAL CODE
A public servant commits an offense if , with intent
to obtain a benefit for himself or to harm another , he
intentionally or knowingly
( 5) takes or misapplies anything of value belonging
to the government that may have come into his custody
or possession by virtue of his employment or secretes it
with intent to take or misapply it , or pays or delivers
it to any person knowing that such person is not entitled
to receive it .
A violation of this statute is a third degree felony
which carries punishment of two ( 2 ) to ten ( 10 ) years
confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections and/or
a $ 10 , 000 .00 fine .

The mayor and alderman of any incorporated town or
city may be removed from office for official misconduct ,
wilfull violation or any ordinance of such town or city,
habitual drunkenness , incompetency, or for such other
cause as may be prescribed by the ordinances of such
town or city.
