RECOMMENDED SALARY AFTER PROPOSED INCREASE - 1983-84 BUDGET

Recommendation: Increase Dipatchers and Animal Control Warden Monthly
salary from 921 to 1060
Increase Police Secretary/Court Clerk salary from 1058. to 1208.
Increase Police Patrolman additional 2.4% above 1983-84 forecast budget
$327. to 1499.
Additional salary adjustments will require approximately $17,603. above
present Police forecasted budgeted, however, it will cure several years
of salary inequities and bring this department in line with other nearby
Cities of similiar population -
The recommended police department salary adjustments will require moving
(1) public car into Revenue Sharing and reducing our Contingency or etc.
Also Chief Abbott will institute the motivating in creative step plan in
his department which should result in operating below adjusted salary budget
and improving his departments overall performance.
