Wylie City Council and WISD Joint Subcommittee Meeting

CALL TO ORDER
City Council member present was Council Member/Subcommittee Vice Chair Rick White.
WISD School Board members present were WISD Trustee/School Subcommittee Chair Susan
Schuler, WISD and Trustee Ronni Fetzer, Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools
Dr. John Fuller; Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations Brian Miller; and City
Manager Mindy Manson

PRESENTATIONS & DISCUSSION
1. Approval of the Minutes from May 1, 2006 and June 5, 2006. (City
Subcommittee Members Only).
City Subcommittee Action
The minutes were approved by consensus of the City Sub-committee members unanimously.
2. Review School Enrollment
Dr. John Fuller gave an update on the current school enrollment. It is anticipated that the
District will exceed the 10,000 mark in the near future.

3. Review Development of Joint Use Agreement(s)
Dr. Fuller and City Manager Manson gave an update on discussions regarding the
development of a Joint Use Agreement between the WISD and the City. We have a broad
agreement that was approved several years ago with the intent to add supplements as specific
circumstances warranted. Staff will continue to discuss and refine needed Agreements.
4. Discuss ongoing School and City Projects and Explore Possible Partnerships
An update was given on ongoing School and City Projects.
