05-15-1945 (City Council) Minutes May 15, 1945
At a regular meeting of the Council attended by CG Housewright, JA Pitts, CR Hillis, Nathan
Eldridge, a motion was made and seconded to pay Mrs. (M -illegible) $5.00 to attend the fire siren by
order of the council.
Surety Bonds were ordered(p -illegible)JH Calloway, Claude Allen, &H. A. Long by the
Council, JA Pitts Mayor to attend the matter.
The equalization was appointed to serve within the near future with the tax assessor, ( -
illegible)on an equalization of the city taxes. F.E. Neilon, Chas Smith, &J.H. Riffe were appointed
and approved by the council with instruction to meet as soon as practical for the board.
The following bills were read and ordered paid:
