06-15-1945 (City Council) Minutes June 15, 1945
At a regular meeting of the Council attended by E. Housewright, C R Hillis, JA Pitts, DB
Willis &Nathan Eldrige, C. G. Housewright, a discussion of cleaning the weeds and grass from the
streets and alleys was left undecided, vacant lots were discussed and no decision was made to clear
them.
A discussion of the bicycle and horseback riders on the sidewalks signs were ordered posted
notifying the public of the forceable offense.
Permission was given the ladies of the Methodist Church to use the closet in the City Hall for
the dishes used in serving dinners at the Hall. A cook stove to be installed in the rear by the ladies of
the M. E. Church.
A motion was made by CR Hillis seconded by Nath Eldridge and approved unanimously to
cover the rear of the City Hall. E. Housewright to attend the matter.
