03-15-1944 (City Council) Minutes March 15, 1944 The City Council of the City of Wylie met March 15, 1944 in a regular meeting. Those present were Mayor J. A. Pitts, Aldermen RR. Addington, C. R. Hillis, E. Housewright and D. B. Willis. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary. Motion made by E. Housewright that minutes be approved as read; motion seconded by C. R. Hillis, motion carried. C. R. Hillis and C. G. Housewright were appointed by Mayor J. A. Pitts to serve as a nominating committee for the coming City election. Motion made by RR. Addington that City Books be audited as soon as auditor was available. Motion seconded by D. B. Willis; motion carried. Motion made by C. R. Hillis that the city donate Twenty-five dollars to the American Red Cross. Motion seconded by R.R. Addington; motion carried. The following list of bills was read by the secretary. A. L.
