Hold the second Public Hearing on the proposed tax rate of $0.8789 for fiscal year 2014-2015 and provide all interested persons an opportunity to be heard, either for or against the proposed tax rate; and announce the date, time and place of the meeting at which the Council will vote on the tax rate. Bantz, Finance Director) Executive Summary In accordance with the "Truth in Taxation" laws of the State of Texas, on August 12, 2014, the City Council voted on the proposed tax rate and scheduled two public hearings on the proposed tax rate. The first public hearing was held on August 26,2014 and this is the second public hearing. The proposed 2014- 15 budget is based on a tax rate of$0.8789 per$100 valuation.
