07-16-2015 (City Council) Minutes Wylie City Council CITY OF WYLIE Minutes Special Called Work Session Wylie City Council Meeting July 16, 2015—6:00 p.m. Wylie Municipal Complex—Council Conference Room 300 Country Club Road, Bldg. 100 Wylie, TX 75098 CALL TO ORDER Announce the presence of a Quorum. Mayor Hogue called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following Wylie City Council members present: Mayor pro tem Keith Stephens, Councilwoman Diane Culver, Councilwoman Candy Arrington, Councilman Todd Wintters, Councilman William Whitney, and Councilman David Dahl. Staff present included: City Manager, Mindy Manson; Assistant City Manager, Jeff Butters; Public Services Director, Mike Sferra; Planning Director, Renae 011ie; City Engineer, Chris Hoisted; WEDC Executive Director, Sam Satterwhite, and City Secretary, Carole Ehrlich. Many support staff were present. INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Eric Hogue gave the invocation and Wylie Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, Sam Satterwhite led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Hogue convened into work session at 6:02 p.m. WORK SESSION • FY 2013-2014 Budget Discussion and Department Presentations to Council Minutes July 16, 2015 Wylie City Council Budget Work Session Department Presentations Page 1 The following departments gave proposed budget expenditure and accomplishments for FY 2014/15 and objectives for the new FY 2015/16 budget. Staff answered questions regarding line items within their FY 2015/2016 budget. Planning/Building Department Engineer Wylie Economic Development Corporation Public Services Police/Animal Control Another work session for departmental budget overviews is scheduled for July 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. for further overall discussion of the proposed FY 2015/16 budget. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION Take any action as a result from Work Session. Mayor Hogue reconvened into Regular Session at 8:26 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Mayor pro tem Stephens, seconded by Councilman Dahl to adjourn the meeting at 8:28 p.m. A vote was taken and the motion passed 7-0.
