07-21-2015 (City Council) Minutes Wylie City Council CITY OF WYLIE Minutes Special Called Work Session Wylie City Council Meeting July 21, 2015 -6:00 p.m. Wylie Municipal Complex-Council Conference Room 300 Country Club Road, Bldg. 100 Wylie, TX 75098 CALL TO ORDER Announce the presence of a Quorum. Mayor Hogue called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following Wylie City Council members present: Councilwoman Diane Culver, Councilwoman Candy Arrington, Councilman Todd Wintters, Councilman William Whitney, and Councilman David Dahl. Mayor pro tem Keith Stephens was absent. Staff present included: City Manager, Mindy Manson; Assistant City Manager, Jeff Butters; Public Services Director, Fire Chief, Brent Parker; Facilities Manager, Shane Colley; Finance Director, Linda Bantz; Library Director, Rachel Orozco; Public Information Officer, Craig Kelly, and City Secretary, Carole Ehrlich. Many support staff were present. INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Eric Hogue gave the invocation and Assistant City Manager Jeff Butters led the Pledge of Allegiance. PRESENTATION Bill Bonney representing the Dallas MOPAR Club presented an appreciation plaque to the City of Wylie and Public Information Officer Craig Kelly for facilitating the Bluegrass on Ballard event and allowing the car club to participate in the event. Bonney stated that there were over 200 cars participating in the quality event. He thanked Craig Kelly for including the car show in the organization and advertising of the event. Minutes July 21,2015 Wylie City Council Budget Work Session Department Presentations Page 1 Mayor Hogue convened into work session at 6:08 p.m. WORK SESSION • FY 2013-2014 Budget Discussion and Department Presentations to Council The following departments gave proposed budget expenditure and accomplishments for FY 2014/15 and objectives for the new FY 2015/16 budget. Staff answered questions regarding line items within their FY 2015/2016 budget. City Secretary/Public Art Facilities Finance Department WFR/Communications Library City Manager Further discussion regarding the FY 2015/2016 Budget will take place during the July 28, 2015 regular meeting of the Wylie City Council. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION Take any action as a result fr from Work Session. Mayor Hogue reconvened into Regular Session at 8:29 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Councilman Whitney, seconded by Councilman Dahl to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m. A vote was taken and the motion passed 6-0 with Mayor pro tern Stephens absent.
