07-01-1908 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Texas July l st 1908
The town council of the town of Wylie met in regular session July l st 1908 at City
Hall. Mayor J. B. Baskette presiding.
On roll call the following responded:
J. B. Baskette, A. Brown, C. J. Gallagher, J. W. Arris, L. L. Gant, J. A. Hammette
and J. A. Wilson.
Minutes of previous meeting read and adopted.
Unfinished business relative to sidewalks was passed up until next meeting.
Mayor Baskette recommended that weeds be cut on all vacant lots as well as on
streets and alleys.
The following 30 days notices were ordered served,
Housewright Co. walk in front of house on B. Ave.
R. Jackson walk on Ballard Ave.
W. T. Mc Donald walk on Ballard Ave.
Mrs. Duvall walk on Jackson St. south of A. Brown
Chris Dunham to drain pool near ice house or put oil on water.
The following accounts were allowed
A. Brown, salary 25.00, exofficio 10.00 35.00
T. L . Hackler, 13 days work @ 1.50 19.50
Lorie Dunn, staying with sick 6.00
G. W. Owens & Co., materials, etc. 14.05
A. G. McAdams, lumber, posts,etc. 44.00
Total allowed 118.55
No further business appearing, adjournment carried.
