08-05-1908 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Texas August 5, 1908
The town council of the town of Wylie Texas met in regular session August 5,
1908 at Gallaghers Drug Store. Mayor Baskette presiding.
The following officers responded to roll call: J. B. Baskette, A. Brown, C. J.
Gallagher, J. W. Arris, L. L. Gant, and J. A. Hammette.
Minutes of previous meeting read and adopted.
Unfinished business relative to sidewalks and crossings which had been passed up
at previous meeting discussed and all parties ordered served with 10 days notices
to build or repair. W. T. McDonald also was ordered served with 10 days notice to
rebuild sidewalk on B. Ave.
On motion and second Mayor Baskette was appointed a committee of one to
confirm with lawyer and bring suit against John Burns for taxes due the Town of
Wylie.
Report of J. W. Arris, Treas, was read and referred to Finance committee.
Motion and second that Dr. Kreymer be notified to repair walk on Jackson Street.
The following accounts were allowed:

T. L. Hackler, labor 1.50
W. H. Rucker, watching 1 '/2 days 2.25
W. O. Phillips, watching one night 2.00
Total Allowed 53.65
No further business appearing, adjournment carried.
