02-03-1909 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Texas February 3 1909
The town council of the town of Wylie met in regular session Feb 3rd at
Gallagher's Drug Store. Mayor Baskette presiding.
The following officers responded to roll call:
J.B. Baskette, A.Brown, J.W. Arris, J.A. Hammette, C. J. Gallagher, and J. A.
Wilson.
Minutes of previous meeting read and adopted.
Treasurer's report was submitted as audited by finance committee and same was
approved.
Report of A. Brown read and referred to finance committee.
By vote of council permission was given to build second story to building
provided for in last meeting.
Ten days notices ordered served on J. T. Butler, R. L. Stane, and Mrs. Church.
The following 30 days notices was ordered served. D. McKinney walk leading to
cematary.
An ordinance was submitted by sect. as follows;
Be it ordained by Board of Aldermen of Wylie:
If any person shall tease, provoke or irritate or engage in teasing, irritating or
provoking any person of unsound mind or any idiot, lunatic, or insane person he shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Twenty
five dollars. Ordinance was adopted.
