02-06-1910 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Tex Feb 2 — 1910 The Town counsil of the Town of Wylie met in regular seccion at First Natl Bank The following member being present-Clem J. Gallagher, J. A. Hammett, G. C. Walters, L. L. Gant and J. A. Wilson. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Baskett. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The city attorney was instructed to see what could be done about keeping fruit pedders out of our city. H. M. Minnis was instructed to use what lumber was in city hall and buy enough to complete house for fire machine. Report of Clem J. Gallagher and A. Brown read and refered to Finance corn. The following ordinance was adopted at this meeting- Be it ordained by the Town Counsel of The Town of Wylie- That it shall be the duty of physicians, midwifes, and undertakers within Ten days thereafter to report in writing to the City Health officer of Wylie, Texas. The name, age, residence and color of every person and of every person who dies within the corporate limits of said town of Wylie and providing that every person violating the provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Ten Dollars. The following acct were allowed A. Brown, salary 25.00 A. Brown, 4% Tax collected 26.30 J. B. Baskett, printing 5.00 A. G. McAdams & Co., lumber 12.80 G. W. Owens & Co. 49.60 H. M. Minnis, Fire Man 20.00 By vote of council H. M. Minnis was elected engineer of Fire Department. His son, Marrin Minnis asst. engineer. No other business, the meeting closed. Loyd Neilon clerk
