04-07-1910 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Tex 4/7/10
The Town Counsell of the Town of Wylie met in regular Seccion at City Hall.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Baskett. The following member being
present. Clem J. Gallagher, J. A. Harwell, G. C. Walters, J. A. Wilson, &L. L.
Gant.
The minutes of previous meeting read and adopted.
The annual report of Mayor Baskett was read and refered to Finance Committee.
Report on census taken by Albt Brown shows total of 664.
The following ordinance was adopted.
Be it ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Wylie that hereafter it shall be
unlawful for any person or persons, corporation, their agents, servants or
employees, to use or occupy any portion of any of the streets or alleys of the
Town of Wylie, Texas as a stand, with a cart, wagon, buggy, box, basket or other
contrivance for the purpose of vending fruit, candy, and ice cream. Any person
violating the provision of this ordinance, upon conviction shall be fined in any
sum not less than One Dollar nor more than Ten Dollars, provided, that
vegetables or fruits or other country produce, raised and sold by farmer or actual
producer of same or under their authority shall not be subject to the provisions of
this ordinance.
This ordinance to take effect today & after adoption by City Council.
