05-05-1910 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Tex May 5, 1910 The Town Council of the Town of Wylie met in regular seccion at Tayler B. Store. Meeting called to order by J. A. Hammett, Mayor Protem. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. On motion and second, the following parties namely J. M. Brown, Cotton Belt& Santa Fe Railroads were given notice to appear before the council next meeting night and give cause why their sidewalk& crossings should not be repaired. On motion and second that Mayor Baskette instruct the marshal to see that law in regard to tying such on or near our walk was put in force more rigid. On motion and sec., that Street Committee be instructed to investigate grader of F.M. Brook and use their judgement in regard to having one made for town. On motion & sec., that Marshal be instructed to warn out 14 men and 2 wagons & to begin work on the 18th day of May & work 3 days if nessury to clean up and rid our town of all filth possible. On motion & sec., Mayor Baskett was instructed to notify Marshal Brown that the council was not satisfied, here of late, with services rendered as Marshal. No other business, meeting closed.
