The Town Council of the Town of Wylie met in call seccion at First Natl. Bank.
The purpose of the meeting was in regard to opened of Street east& south of Santa Fe
Depot.
First was the reading of the attach petition Petition and Ordinance were attached Comment[gdhl]:pet

Gentlemen:
We ,the undersigned owners of lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Block 32 in Wylie, Collin
County, Texas, R. R. Addition and owner of lot 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 in
block 32 R. R. Addition to the town of Wylie, Collin County, Texas,hereby respectfully
petition your Honorable Council to vacate, abandon and change the street just North of
our property and just south of the Gulf, Colorado Railroad said street being 64.7 wide and
extending from First Street in a Southwesterly direction to West end of lot 18 in Block 32
in said town of Wylie, Texas, and we further respectfully ask you to open up the alley
and make a public street of the same that extends just South of lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in
Block 32. We think that this change will be for the benefit of the public in general.

ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WYLIE,TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described street situated in the town of Wylie, Collin
County, Texas, in the Railroad Addition-BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of lotone
(1)in Block 32—Thence North 64.7 feet to the right of way of The Gulf, Colorado and
Santa Fe ----Thence in a Southwesterly direction along said right of way 248.9 feet---
Thence South 64.7 feet to the N. W. corner of lot 18 in Block 32---Thence in a
Northeasterly direction to the place of beginning, be and the same is herenow vacated,
abandoned and discontinued as a public street or alley and that the same be no longer
used as a public thoroughfare.
Section 2. That the alley that now extends just south of lots, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in
Block 32 be widened, opened and made 70 feet wide as follows---BEGINNING at the
Northeast corner of Lot 6 in Block 32 in the town of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, R. R.
Addition---Thence North 70 feet to a stake Thence West 159 feet to stake Thence
South 70.feet to a stake----Thence East to the place of beginning—be and the same is
herenow declared a public street and a public thoroughfare.
Section 3. The fact that the alley just South of lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in Block 32
Wylie, Tecas, is now only 19.2 wide and is inadequate as a public thoroughfare, and that
the public interest demands that the same be widened at once, create and emergency, and
an imperative public necessity, that the Constitutional rule requiring bills to read on three
several days be suspended, and that this Ordinance take effect from and after its passage,
andit is so ordained. Approved and signed August 15 '. A. D. 1913. Becomes an
Ordinance August 15th A. D. 1913.
