05-03-1916 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Tex 5/3/16
The Town Council of the Town of Wylie met in regular seccion at City Hall. The
meeting called to order by Mayor Daniel. After roll call of officers the minutes of
previous meeting were read and approved.
Report of Finance Committee by J. A. Long in regard to checking Marshal Howery's
report of April 5th, 1916 was accepted as reported.
Report of H. W. Lawrence as Treasurer was accepted Mr. Lawrence being instructed to
furnish two list of names of those that had paid and had not paid street tax, one list to be
given Marshal Howery and one to be retained by clerk.
Mr. J. B. Palmer resignation as Fire Marshal was accepted.
Next was the installation of the following officers:
E. R. Daniel, Mayor
W. F. Duncan, City Attorney
H. W. Lawrence
A. Brown Aldermen
J. A. Long
D. E. Willis, Fire Marshall
Fire Marshall's salary fixed at $2.00 per month.
Permission was granted parties to put in skating rink.
Appointed officers were to remain same as last year.
Mayor Daniel & clerk were instructed to settle with Wylie Rustler as per contract.

Marshal Howery was instructed to notify Grimes &Beard &Latta& Spurgin to put
cover on back of closed to keep paper from scattering over the town.
