12-05-1917 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Tex Dec. 5th 1917 The Town council of the Town of Wylie met in regular session at the City Hall. After the roll call of officers the minutes of last meeting was read and approved. Motion and 2 the Town of Wylie by Mr. Downs $5.00 worth of groceries and send to his home. Motion carried. Motion & (2)that the Town of Wylie enforces the fire ordinance. Motion carried. Motion & (2) all accounts be allowed. Motion carried. No other business motion was in order to close. Jess Calloway The State of Texas County of Collin I, Jesse Calloway, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbered upon me as night watchman of the town of Wylie, Collin Co. Texas, according to the best of my skill and ability, agreeable to the constitution and laws of the United States and of this State. I being a citizen of this state have not fought a duel with deadly weapons within this state nor out of it. Nor have I sent or accepted a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons, nor have I acted as second in carrying a challenge, or aided advised or assisted any person thus offending and I, furthermore solemnly swear that I have not directly or indirectly paid, offered, or promised to pay contributed or promised to contribute any money or valuable things or promised any public officer or employment as a reward for the giving or withholding a note at the election at which I was appointed to secure my appointment, so help me God.
