11-03-1920 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Texas November 3, 1920 The Town Council met in regular session on Nov. 3, 1920, at W. F. Duncan's office, Mayor Spurgin, presiding. On roll call of officers the following answered present: G. C. Spurgin, Mayor W. F. Duncan, City Atty. W. H. Brigham, Alderman J. R. Bowman, Alderman Dr. J. P. Maynard, Alderman C. J. Marrs, Alderman The minutes of the previous meeting not read or adopted. Regular moved and second that Town of wylie pay one-half of the amount due on grader at present and give note for the balance to be due in 12 months from this date. Motion carried. The following accounts were allowed: B. Burns, for dumping ground $24.00 G. C. Spurgin, refund money for sanitary work for city 1.00 Regular moved and second that town of Wylie donate to The Ladies Cemetery Association of Wylie 70 x 125 feet East of block 24 in said town, to be used for cemetery purposes only and city ordered to make deed quit claim to the same (this shall not be final until council gets consent of B. Burns, the adjoining property owner). Motion carried. Moved and second that Cotton Belt be notified to put in cement walk leading across their right of way from T. B. Burch's to Mrs. Mary Thompson's and the secretary notify said company at once to this effect. There being no further business the council adjourned until the next regular meeting.
