04-29-1921 (City Council) Minutes April 29, 1921
Special meeting of the Town Council held April 29, 1921=Subject cleanup day, May 3. It
was decided to lay off the town in 6 zones, and assigned as follows among the following
citizens: C. J. Marrs, West of Cotton Belt. Jeff Knight was assigned the Jackson St. alley
north of Railroads. Geo Housewright was assigned the alley on east& west side of
Ballard Avenue. J. R. Bowman was assigned the Territory East of First St. and North of
Masters St. D. Story was assigned the territory South of Masters St. and East of Ballard
Avenue. C. L. Hillis was assigned the territory West of Ballard Ave., South of Santa Fe
Railroad, it was decided to hire 5 wagons and teams and 5 extra men to haul the trash. No
further business, council adjourned.
