04-07-1922 (City Council) Minutes Special meeting of Town Council held April 7 — 1922 with all present
except Alderman C. L. Hillis &Marshall H. P. Howery.
The contract between town of Wylie & G. I. Wilcox was read as drawn & signed and on
motion and seconded was accepted unanimously and copy is recorded herewith.
No further business council adjourned to meet Tuesday night.

STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF COLLIN. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
This contract of agreement made and entered into this the 6th day of April, A. D.
1922, by and between the City of Wylie Collin County, Texas, acting herein by and
through its duly elected and qualified Mayor, J. C. Spurgin, first party, and G. I. Wilcox,
second party, witnesseth:
1- That Second party agrees to reset his line of telephone poles, under the
direction of the Street committee of the City of Wylie, Texas,
extending from Geo. W. Housewright's residence south, to the Gulf,
Colorado & Santa Fe right-of-way, on the east side of Ballard Avenue,
on the inside of the curb now being constructed, and said poles when
reset shall remain in said location during the life of the franchise
granted to J. R. Thaxton, on the 5th day of March, A.D.1913. This shall
apply to Ballard Avenue, only, to-wit from Geo. W. Housewright's
residence south, to Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Right-of-way.
2- That said Second party agrees when said poles are re-set to put them in
first class condition, and to paint same, under the approval of the street
committee.
3- That the said Second party shall have ten days or a reasonable time
thereafter from this date to reset said poles.
Witness our hands in duplicate this the 6th day of April, A. D. 1922.
